The Punjab government has raised many issues in the GST Council such as 18% GST is being imposed on Iron Steel, we have talked about making changes in it. 18% GST has also been imposed on Health Premium, we have demanded a reduction in it too. @HarpalCheemaMLA
In Delhi, police and law and order come under the BJP LG and the central government. But the situation here is getting worse every day. Bullets are being fired openly. Looting and murders are taking place. But BJP's LG sahab and the Union Home Ministry are not taking any action. NCRB data proves that Vinay Saxena has been the most incompetent Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. He has no right to remain in his post. He should resign immediately. @PKakkar_
AAP's goal is to oust the corrupt and chaotic BJP government from power. Keeping this in mind, today AAP has released the list of its 20 candidates. Each of our workers will become a soldier and fight for the rights of Haryana. - Mr. @DrSushilKrGupta ji
The Delhi Government and the Punjab Government have been continuously raising the issue that GST should not be imposed on educational institutions that receive research grants. Imposing GST on this is equivalent to 'Tax Terrorism'. GST Council has decided, now if any educational institution gets any government grant or research grant from any private institution then no GST will be levied. Some opposition states have raised the issue that the current 18% premium charged on health insurance is too high, the consensus was that GST should be reduced but now the matter has been referred to the GOM, the GOM will examine the entire matter. @AtishiAAP
I came out of jail smiling and the secret behind my smile is my honesty. I have never done anything wrong and today I stand among you with my chest puffed up. Chief Minister
@ArvindKejriwal ji has also not done anything wrong and he will also come out now. The BJP people imposed the laws imposed on terrorists on Kejriwal and me, but due to the constitution written by Baba Saheb, I have come out and now Kejriwal will also come out and get all the pending work completed quickly.

Who is Paying Taxes ? Who is reaping profits ??
What is this Economics of BJP Govt., ? Direct Taxes are Income Tax paid by Individuals & Corporate Tax paid by big companies.
According to Data released by Central Board of Direct Taxes [CBDT] net Direct Tax collected is Rs 5,74, 357 Crores. [ as of July 11th 2024 ]
Of which Personal Income Tax is Rs 3 ,46, 036 Crores.
Corporate Income Tax is Rs 2,10, 274 Crores only.
Reason - 1 Government has given many
Sashi Tharoor wrote an article in The Week, how his Opponent MP Candidate [Rajeev Chandra Sekhar ] has shown his income as 5 lacs in one election affidavit, In the 2nd Election affidavit, he has shown 70 lacs, in the last LS elections he has shown Rs 684 only. He owns a Private Jet, 24 Luxury cars, many high end Motor cycles and lives in a 48,000 sq ft house in a posh locality. This shows how a Corporate can manipulate his tax where as a Salaried employee pays TDS [ tax deducted at source ] and has no way of reducing his tax burden,
The Government has given Tax concessions to Corporate in Sept 2019 , It is estimated that Rs 8,70, 000 crores. was the revenue loss due to income Tax rebate to the Govt., in the last 5 years.
The logic behind this is if we give rebate to Corporate, they will invest in business & create jobs. But 2014- 2018 - Investment to GDP Ratio has fallen from 35 % to 29%. Finance Minister has been chiding the Businessmen on this issue.
Coming to Indirect Taxes like GST, naturally the GST collections are more from common people than the rich. 140 crores spend GST on Tea, Toothpaste ect which is far higher than the 5-10 % rich spending on GST.
THE COMMON MAN PAYS MORE DIRECT & INDIRECT TAXES.
The discussion on freebies is futile in this context.
GST on Tea 5%, Ghee 12%, Toothpaste 18% Cooldrinks 28%.
Love on the track. Two athletes. Two different worlds. Hunter Woodhall and Tara Davis-Woodhall aren't your average power couple.
He's a Paralympian. She's an Olympian. Both are gold medalists. Their story? It's the stuff of legends.
Separately, they're impressive. Together? They're unstoppable.
Hunter faced the prospect of never walking. His parents made the heart-wrenching decision to have both his legs amputated when he was just 11 months old, a choice that would ultimately set him on an extraordinary path.
While Hunter was learning to navigate the world on prosthetic legs, Tara was already turning heads on the track, setting the stage for what would become a meteoric rise through the ranks of mainstream athletics.

Amidst reports of incursion by China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) in Arunachal Pradesh, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Monday said the mere painting of marks in undemarcated locations doesn't mean the areas have been encroached upon.
Rijiju, who hails from Arunachal Pradesh, also said that overlapping of patrolling by Indian and Chinese forces does take place in the undemarcated areas along the Sino-Indian border but that does not lead to encroachment of Indian territory.
While there appears to be a wide consensus among the states on reducing 18 per cent tax levied on health and life insurance policies, the Group of Ministers to be headed by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has been asked to submit its report by the end of next month on issues such as levy of GST on policies bought by resident welfare associations.
During the meeting, the Council decided to cut the tax rate on cancer drugs to 5 per cent from 12 per cent and namkeen from 18 per cent to 12 per cent.
The West Bengal Legislative Assembly on September 3 unanimously passed an anti-rape Bill in the aftermath of the rape and murder of a 31-year-old female postgraduate trainee doctor in the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. The Bill known as the Aparajita Women and Child (West Bengal Criminal Laws Amendment) Bill, 2024, prescribes the death penalty for rape and also imposes a life sentence without parole on those convicted.
The Bill prescribes a compulsory death penalty for the offence of committing rape and inflicting injury that results in the death of the victim or causes her to be in a vegetative state. This is a first-of-its-kind penal provision since no other offence in any other law prescribes a mandatory death sentence.
The sory so far: Indian para-athletes created history at the Paris Games by winning 27 medals as on Friday (September 6, 2024) — surpassing the country’s previous best performance at the Games in 2021. There are two more days to go as the Games will end on September 8.
In its 13th appearance in the Summer Paralympics since its debut in 1968, India’s para-athlete contingent has swollen from 10 to 84 this year. As more and more athletes compete at the Games, India’s medal run has also consistently increased from one in the 2012 London Games to its current tally of 27 in 2024 Paris Games — in a span of mere twelve years.
Google, the leading American technology company best known for its popular search engine, has lost a Court case filed against it by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2020 accusing the company of being an illegal monopoly. A U.S. District judge ruled last month that the company indeed misused its dominant position in the market to block competitors from freely offering their services in the market.
Google comes set up as the default search engine in most new phones, laptops and other electronic devices in the market. The company even pays billions of dollars each year, as a share from its advertisement revenues, to device manufacturers such as Apple, Samsung etc. to be featured as the default search engine in their devices. In fact, Google paid as much as $20 billion in 2022 to Apple to be featured as the default search on Safari, Apple’s default browser. Google has also paid web browser providers such as Mozilla to be featured as the default search engine in their browsers. This practice, many believe, is advantageous to Google and unfair towards other search engine providers as users could end up sticking to the default search engine in their new devices rather than make the effort required to try out better search engines.

While the Congress has tied up with NC, BJP is set to contest the polls solo.
The Himachal Pradesh Assembly on Tuesday (August 27, 2024) passed a Bill raising the minimum marriageable age for women from 18 to 21 years.
