  15. Although the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party are together in the national capital, a visit to several parliamentary constituencies by The Wire revealed that people see Arvind Kejriwal and his party as the main challenger to the BJP.
    Sonia, a resident of Salempur, says, 'Whoever stands for Kejriwal, our vote will go to him.' Sonia further said, 'Kejriwal works for the poor, he has made bus service free for women, free electricity and water, he has done many other things in the interest of the poor.
    Najma of Salempur also said that her vote will go to Kejriwal. Notably, she did not even know that Kejriwal's party was not contesting the seat, but she had decided that whoever Kejriwal would campaign for, she would vote for him. Salempur falls under the North-East Delhi
    Krishan Kumar, a resident of north-east Delhi, also sees the election as Kejriwal versus Modi. He says that despite Congress's Kanhaiya Kumar getting a ticket from here, people are looking at Kejriwal as an important face.
    The Wire met several other voters who did not know which party's candidate from the 'India' alliance was standing in their area. He said that wherever Kejriwal is, his vote will go.
    Jitendra Chaudhary, who runs his business in RK Puram, also says that his vote will go to the Aam Aadmi Party.
    Notably, The Wire also found people who didn't know anything about the Swati Maliwal episode and believed that an issue people didn't even know about could not affect the outcome of the election.
    Auto rickshaw driver Surinder Singh, a resident of Shahdara, said that he had no knowledge of the Swati issue. Kejriwal is a big leader of Delhi. No matter how much Modi tries to trap him, my and my family's vote will go to Arvind Kejriwal 'Kejriwal is the messiah of the poor.'
