Even ur tweet lacks honesty which is deserved by the armed forces of India. You have concealed the most serious concern about this incident. Serving Army Brigadier was assaulted in presence of Delhi Police and you control that police. Inspite of knowing the army background of victims, Delhi Police did not register the FIR. Your Delhi Police did not even arrest those culprits on the spot.

We can't control crime, so let's just put a stop to CCTV cameras...

This is the solution from the Delhi Police, to curb the rising crime in Delhi!

When the Kejriwal government started installing CCTV cameras in every alley and neighborhood of Delhi.
The most special thing about it was that the password for these cameras was also given to RWAs and Traders Associations.
So that along with the police, the general public could also view the recordings of cameras in their area.
Having the password with the general public had two benefits.
First, footage of any incident was immediately available to the victim,

And second, if any camera was faulty, the relevant association would promptly take initiative to get it fixed.

In other words, until now, the participation of the actual users of these 2.8 lakh CCTV cameras has been in keeping them in working condition and using the feeds.

But now the Delhi Police feels that because the general public has direct feed, videos of incidents go viral on social media.

And because of viral videos, the public has sharp reactions to the police's actions.

Therefore, now the Delhi Police will take the password for these cameras from PWD and keep it only with themselves. Meaning, the general public will no longer get direct feed.

If anyone needs feed from any camera, they will have to go to the relevant police station, prove why they need that feed. And the police, using their discretion, will give the feed or not!

And if any camera is faulty, not working, then the police can easily say that the camera was not active at the time of the incident, a complaint has been lodged with PWD.

Case closed, wait for the police investigation!!

So the same Delhi Police that seeks citizens' cooperation in preventing crime through fancy schemes like "Police Mitra",

Is now stopping the general public from remaining its "eyes", why?

Because this gives the police negative publicity on social media, the public questions the police, and accountability is determined!

In other words, the Delhi Police wants authority, the power to shut anyone down or wield the baton,

But in return, it doesn't want any questions, and accountability? Absolutely not!

Well, what more can one expect from a double-engine government...

@_YogendraYadav A copy of the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, 2026, to be introduced in the parliament in the special session this week. It’s worse than what everyone feared - it opens the floodgates for complete reallocation of seats for states and for gerrymandering.

As expected, in the name of advancing women’s representation, it is basically a move to facilitate early delimitation and to expand the size of Lok Sabha to 815.

But, contrary to the assurance of the PM and ministers, there is nothing in this bill to ensure that the present proportion of seats for each state would be maintained. It lifts the existing freeze (based on 1971 census, extended to post 2026) completely without any safeguard the government was promising.
Worse, the decision about which Census would be the basis for reallocation is taken away from the constitution and placed in the domain of law (ie, simple parliamentary majority).
Actual reallocation and determination of boundaries would be done by the Delimitation Commission, on which the constitution is silent. And this cannot be challenged in a court of law.

Delhiites have been fooled. Tamilians should be alert against such fraudulent promises.
The BJP's promises are loud before elections, silent after.
