They have nothing to do for women; they just want to have their way through delimitation. They want to change the law through the back door so that they can conduct delimitation anytime and the census requirement itself gets eliminated.

Voting allowed only if appeal is decided in your favour. The Supreme Court directed the Election Commission to include voters in a supplementary list if their appeals are allowed by tribunals before cut-off dates (April 21 & 27). Such voters can vote in the respective polling phases. 2.No voting rights if appeal is still pending. The Court clearly ruled:
Mere filing of an appeal does NOT give the right to vote. People whose cases are still undecided cannot vote in the election.
3.Court refused blanket relief to excluded voters.
Petitioners wanted all excluded voters (even with pending appeals) to be allowed to vote. The Court rejected this, citing:
Need for final, verified electoral rolls.
Avoiding confusion and administrative chaos. Use of Article 142 (special powers)
The Court used Article 142 of the Constitution to ensure:
Fairness (by allowing restored voters to vote.
Orderliness (by not allowing unresolved cases to vote)
Concern about errors but no major intervention.
The Court acknowledged a “margin of error” in SIR and stressed.
Need for a strong appellate system. But it did not stop or overturn the SIR process itself. Bottom Line. If your name is restored before deadline → you can vote. If your appeal is pending , you cannot vote. Court balanced voter rights vs electoral certainty, but did not invalidate SIR.
