The way the ED was used in the West Bengal elections to target the agency that was campaigning for Mamata Banerjee ji, and everyone got bail the very next day after voting. This is an example of the BJP's open looting of democr
The BJP's 'guarantee' is only to spread hatred.
The BJP spews venom against Dalits, backward classes, minorities, and Sikhs day and night.
This party is not focused on development, but is instead engaging in politics of cemeteries-crematoriums and food habits, dividing the country.

NEWS THAT MATTERS
Two economists just published a mathematical proof that AI will destroy the economy.
Not might. Not could. Will — if nothing changes.
The paper is called "The AI Layoff Trap." Published March 2, 2026. Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Boston University. Peer reviewed. Mathematically modeled.
The conclusion is one sentence.
"At the limit, firms automate their way to boundless productivity and zero demand."
An economy that produces everything. And sells it to nobody.
Here is how you get there.
A company fires 500 workers and replaces them with AI. A competitor fires 700 to keep up. Another fires 1,000. Every company is behaving rationally. Every company is following the incentives correctly. And every company is building a trap for itself.
Because the workers who were fired were also customers.
When they lose their jobs faster than the economy can absorb them, they stop spending. Consumer demand falls. Companies respond by cutting costs — which means automating more workers — which means less spending — which means more falling demand — which means more automation.
The loop has no natural exit.
The researchers tested every proposed solution. Universal basic income. Capital income taxes. Worker equity participation. Upskilling programs. Corporate coordination agreements.
Every single one failed in the model.
The only intervention that worked: a Pigouvian automation tax — a per-task levy charged every time a company replaces a human with AI, forcing them to price in the demand they are destroying before they pull the trigger.
No government has implemented this. No major economy is seriously discussing it.
Meanwhile the numbers are already tracking the curve. 100,000 tech workers laid off in 2025. 92,000 more in the first months of 2026. Jack Dorsey fired half of Block's workforce and said publicly: "Within the next year, the majority of companies will reach the same conclusion."
Nobody is doing anything wrong. Companies are following their incentives perfectly. That is exactly the problem.
Rational behavior. At scale. Simultaneously. With no mechanism to stop it.
Two economists built the math. The math leads to one place. Source: Falk & Tsoukalas · Wharton School + Boston University ·

I enrolled in 2017 too — same year as Ishaan Sharma. Yet I haven’t handled even a fraction of the work he’s been allotted. Within 5–6 years, 5,900+ cases and top-tier empanelment.
Call it what you want, but this is not a level playing field.

BENGAL ELECTIONS WILL BE REMEMBERED : Interesting: a day after polling ends in West Bengal, ED chooses not to oppose regular bail to Vinesh Chandel, co-founder IPAC in an alleged money laundering case. Raat gayi, baat gayi.
The way CRPF was miss used, it may become a practice every where to deploy Central forces. for elections.

Shame on @AmitShah. @crpfindia @BSF_India our CAPF has become a private army of Amit Shah’s licensed thugs to try & take Bengal. You killed an old man today as he went to cast his vote. Bunch of murderous goons. Mohva Maitra MP TMC.
IN LUNGI, NO VOTE? First time in India's 76-year Electoral History Since 1950.
Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) stopped Elderly Voters in Bengal at the Polling Booth — because they were wearing a LUNGI. Grandfathers were turned away and told to go home and change before they could cast their Vote. Straight Question to the Election Commission and Central Government -

Mamata Banerjee reaches the strong room in South Kolkata. uestions raised. Access initially restricted. Still stands her ground. Says clearly: “If there is manipulation, we will fight.” When others stay silent, she shows up, asks questions, and refuses to back down. That’s what defending democracy looks like.

BJP and their compromised Election Commission have no idea who they are dealing with.
They have imported operatives from other states to swarm the area outside the Netaji Indoor Stadium, staging a media spectacle to mask their fear. We do not need to mobilize. At one command from Smt. @MamataOfficial ,10,000 people would descend upon that area in minutes.
We choose peace because we respect the law, not because we fear you. But do not mistake our civility for weakness. Try to touch a single EVM, try to heist the people’s mandate, and you will face the full, unbridled consequences of your actions. Didi has shown the way today by guarding the front lines herself.
We are mindful. We are vigilant. Any attempt at tampering will face the wrath of the people. Heed this warning. Bengal will not be looted.

The Nicobar tree cutting issue refers to the large-scale felling of forests in the Great Nicobar Island as part of a massive infrastructure push by the Indian government. It has become one of the most debated environmental and strategic projects in recent years. The Nicobar tree cutting issue is not just about trees—it’s about:
The government approved the Great Nicobar Development Project, which includes:
A transshipment port at Galathea Bay
A new international airport
A township and power infrastructure
Road and logistics networks
Strategic importance
Located near the Malacca Strait, one of the busiest shipping routes in the world
Helps India counter growing Chinese presence in the Indo-Pacific
Strengthens naval and trade positioning
Economic goals
Turn the island into a global shipping hub (like Singapore or Colombo)
Boost trade, logistics, and employment
Improve connectivity to remote islands
To make space for this, around 8–10 lakh (800,000–1,000,000) trees are estimated to be cut.
Loss of pristine rainforest
Great Nicobar has one of India’s last untouched tropical rainforests
Cutting lakhs of trees risks irreversible ecological damageThreat to biodiversity The island is home to: Leatherback sea turtles (nesting at Galathea Bay)
Nicobar megapode (rare bird)
Saltwater crocodiles and endemic species
3. Impact on tribal communities
Indigenous groups like the Shompen tribe and Nicobarese people
Concerns over displacement, cultural disruption, and disease exposure
4. Fragile ecosystem risks
The region is earthquake-prone (2004 tsunami impact area)
Large construction could worsen disaster vulnerability
⚖️ Legal & procedural controversy
The project received environmental and forest clearances in 2022
Critics argue:
Environmental impact assessments were rushed
Public consultation was limited
Wildlife and tribal safeguards may be inadequate. Some petitions have been filed in courts challenging these approvals.
India’s strategic ambitions in the Indo-Pacific
The future of one of its most fragile ecosystems
The balance between growth and conservation.
