Petition filed in the #SupremeCourt seeking registration of FIRs against police officials and CAPF personnel who allegedly committed violence on student protesters during the Janatar Matar protests from July 20.

The PIL seeks an independent investigation regarding the use of force, and also the preservation of CCTV visuals and other digital records relating to the incidents.

The petitioner is represented by Adv Narendra Mishra, who had earlier filed a letter petition raising the same issue, which was mentioned before the Chief Justice of India on July 22.
