"When I was released from jail, I resigned, nobody asked me to do so, I resigned on my own. If the people of Delhi think Kejriwal is honest then vote for me, otherwise don't vote for me." - Arvind Kejriwal
"People of Delhi know couple of things. First, they know that Arvind Kejriwal is completely honest and second, they know that Arvind Kejriwal works for the public. They (BJP-led central government) wanted to portray me as dishonest and derail the work that I've done. They lodged a fake case, and jailed me, Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, Sanjay Singh and others. Despite this, our party continues to be strong," says AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal (

AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said works of public welfare "stalled by the BJP" will be now resumed and all damaged roads in the city will be repaired.
The former Delhi chief minister claimed that he was sent to jail because the BJP's target was to defame the AAP government in Delhi by stalling work for the people.

The Supreme Court today granted interim bail to Chhattisgarh's suspended civil servant Saumya Chaurasia in a money laundering case, taking into account factors including the amount of time spent in custody and the non-framing of charges.
Chaurasia, former Deputy Secretary to ex-Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, is accused in a money laundering case relating to coal scam. She has been in jail for 1 yr and 9 months now.
Kejriwal and Atishi challenge Delhi HC's defamation ruling in SC over Agarwal community remarks
Kejriwal and Atishi have challenged a Delhi High Court ruling that upheld a defamation lawsuit filed by BJP leader Rajeev Babbar regarding comments about the Agarwal community. The Supreme Court is set to hear their appeal on September 27, amid ongoing political tensions between the AAP and BJP.
The controversy began when Kejriwal's comments regarding the voting list and the Agarwal community sparked outrage, leading to the defamation suit. The High Court's findings reinforced the position that the remarks were intended to discredit the BJP.

The International Dialogues on AI Safety (IDAIS)
Coordinated global action on AI safety research and governance is critical to prevent uncontrolled frontier AI development from posing unacceptable risks to humanity.”
Global action, cooperation, and capacity building are key to managing risk from AI and enabling humanity to share in its benefits. AI safety is a global public good that should be supported by public and private investment, with advances in safety shared widely. Governments around the world — especially of leading AI nations — have a responsibility to develop measures to prevent worst-case outcomes from malicious or careless actors and to rein in reckless competition. The international community should work to create an international coordination process for advanced AI in this vein.
Maharashtra and Rajasthan have in quick succession issued tenders calling for power producers who could supply electricity for 25 years. A key criterion in both the tenders was that the producer should have the capability to supply power generated from both solar and thermal power plants together.
By introducing the bid specification that only power producers who can generate mammoth thermal and solar capacity in tandem can compete, the state governments whittled down the competition for Adani Group.
Maharashtra put out a bid for 6,600 MW, with 5,000 MW of that coming from solar and the rest from coal. Next, Rajasthan put out a bid for 11,200 MW, with 8,000 MW being generated from solar and the rest from coal. Besides Adani Group, only a few companies operate at that scale in both solar and thermal power generation.
The scheme was launched despite warnings from states, including BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh, that it was designed to help corrupt traders and not farmers. The Union government imposed it on states though the majority of them had spoken against it.
The price protection scheme, officially known as price deficiency payment system (PDPS), was the showpiece of the three-pronged PM Aasha scheme launched ahead of the 2019 general elections to protect farmers against wildly fluctuating prices of pulses and oilseeds. It promised to top up the earnings if farmers earned less than the government-fixed minimum support price (MSP).
