Though the PM, HM, DM and FM are the trustees in their ex-officio capacity, their functioning is ABSOLUTELY PRIVATE

▪️As per the latest Receipts and Payments Account available on the PM-CARES website, the Trust has received ₹13,604 crore in contributions from the domestic and foreign donors. Mind you, most of it has come from the Government Companies and even through deductions from the Salaries of the Government employees.

▪️After incurring a massive expenditure of ₹8,132 crore on setting up Hospitals, procurement of COVID-19 related equipment and medicines and earning interest on the funds, the balance as on March 2023 was ₹ 6,283.68 crore.

▪️The financials for 2023-24 are not yet disclosed, ten months after the end of the financial year.

▪️All the Expenditure figures, barring few, are round figures, in multiples of thousands ‘000 and lakh ‘00,000. Does this happen in normal course of business.

▪️The Receipts and Payments Account for FY 2022-23 was dated 29-03-2024 i.e. signed after one year of the end of the financial year.

▪️The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, has executed the Deed of Trust with his signature and photo.

▪️The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), which is manned by the officials on the Government’s payroll, “…provide administrative and secretarial support to the Trustees for the management and administration of the Trust..”

▪️The Trustees i.e. the PM, the HM, the DM, the FM are all paid out of the Government’s, tax payers’ funds.

▪️Despite the Trustees and the PMO staff involved in management of the Trust, the Deed of Trust contrarily argues that there is ‘no direct or indirect control of the Government’ in the functioning of the Trust.

▪️It uses the National Emblem - the Ashok Stambh - which cannot be used by any private institution as its logo/emblem.

▪️The Deed of Trust says, the PM and his Trustee Colleagues won’t be responsible and accountable to any one for any LOSS or DIMINUTION in the Investments of the Trust funds.

▪️The process of procurement, quality of the medicines and materials procured by PM Modi and friends’ Trust, at a cost of ₹8,000 crore are not known at all.

▪️This is the State of Affairs of the Funds collected by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, under the pretext of the COVID-19 pandemic. And the law enforcement agencies, media, the opposition parties all seem to be fine about it.
