Uttarakhand: Opposition, Local Groups Debunk Govt Claims on ‘Stricter’ Land Laws for Outsiders. Claiming to bring stricter land laws restricting outsiders to buy land in the state, particularly in the hills, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has got an amendment Bill to the Uttar Pradesh Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act, 1950, which was passed in the Assembly on Friday, barring the plain districts of Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar.
There had been an agitation in the state demanding stricter laws to stop large-scale violations of land purchase rules that have been causing a gradual shrinking of agricultural land, especially in the hills.

LoP Atishi led the strong protest. By evening the Photos were replaced but on the side walls. I AAP party in MCD did some historic decisions on House Tax in Delhi. For below the 100 sq yards there will be no tax for 2025-2026. For houses built in areas 100 to 500 sq yards, the rates are halved.
