There is a rule to have the schools audited by an Auditor or CAG, but the government has assigned the responsibility to the SDM. Now private schools will challenge this so-called Audit in court, and it will be stayed. BJP has done this drama only for show, it will only benefit the private schools. April 7: Sikhya Kranti Inaugurations Begin

On the first day alone, 341 government schools inaugurated across Punjab. Local MLAs and Ministers lead inaugural events across districts—showcasing strong grassroots political ownership and commitment to reform.

This marks the launch of a two-month celebration, with daily school inaugurations across Punjab continuing till May 31.

    The State entered the 39th day, Punjab Police on Tuesday arrested 71 drug smugglers and recovered 1.8 kg heroin, 4.9 kg opium, 13362 intoxicant capsules/tablets and ₹9000 drug money from their possession. With this, the number of total drug smugglers arrested has reached to 5373 in just 39 days. TAMILNADU : In an important judgment interpreting Article 200 of the Constitution, the Supreme Court has held that a Governor cannot reserve a Bill for the assent of the President once it has been re-enacted by the State Legislative Assembly after the Governor had withheld his assent in the first instance. The Court held that if the Governor has to reserve a Bill for the President's assent, then it must be done at the first instance itself. If a Governor decides to withhold assent for the Bill, then he must mandatorily send it back to the State Assembly. When the Assembly re-enacts the Bill after it was send back by the Governor, then the Governor has no option to reserve it to the President.
    “A few moments ago, our government received a historic judgment from the Supreme Court,” Stalin said in the Tamil Nadu Assembly on Tuesday. “This order is not only for Tamil Nadu, but a huge victory for all states in India,” he said, calling it a vindication of federalism, state autonomy and Dravidian politics.
