  1. Covid 19 Uptick, Misinformation Epidemiological reality : JN.1 a varient of Omicron is currently. Any new virus stays for long once it enters the population possibly for ever. SARS-CoV-2 is a respiratory virus and likely to have seasonal pattern. The pattern in this case is not established. There is no need of additional dose of Covid dose. Large population has received 2/3 doses during 2020-2023 so got hybrid immunity against SARS -Cov-2. including Omicron. Most were exposed to Omicron in India. There appears to be a seasonal uptick. Deaths reported are nominal. Even with a spike 200 to 300 Covid cases per day are lower than other infections.
    For example every day daily 8,000 new cases of TB are reported. In India 30,000 people die daily due to old age & other health conditions. Every day 900 die due to TB, a preventable & treatable infection. 390 die due to influenza, 310 due to RSV virus which is again preventable. So Covid 19 is just another illness that is much less severe.
