DELHI NEWS:

  1. The truth is that the BJP government of Delhi wants to close down DBSE only for political reasons. This has nothing to do with education. But the sad thing is that the Chief Minister of Delhi has to lie to close the board!! Madam, you can close the board even after telling the truth, children will respect your truth.

  1. This is @ArvindKejriwal  ji's work Share it before the Chief Minister @gupta_rekha  takes credit for this as well.

  3. Daughters are being brutalized in Delhi, BJP government is silent. In Delhi a 9 year old girl is raped and then murdered but Amit Shah who campaigns in every election and is responsible for the law and order of Delhi is missing. BJP people should answer that when there is a 4 engine BJP government in Delhi then why are they unable to provide security to the daughters? @AtishiAAP Credit ANI

  4. Devi Bus has started showing her miracle. Even though Delhi Transport Corporation has its own drivers, the driver contract was given to a private company, why? Many accidents are being caused by Devi Bus private bus drivers. They are playing with the lives of innocent people of Delhi. This scene is of the bus depot and a few days ago there was a road accident involving the Devi bus. Delhi government should become aware, the people of Delhi have elected you to work and not to play with their lives.

  1. BJP had made a false promise of 'Jahan jhuggy, wahan makaan'. Today there is no BJP leader to speak for these slum dwellers, but Aam Aadmi Party is with the people living here. We will visit every slum and raise our voice for their rights from the streets to the Parliament. @Saurabh_MLAgk

  2. Delhi CM is saying Madrasi Camp demolition was done as per High Court orders. If Govt cares for people why did it not go to SC ? Stop hiding behind court orders. Did you appeal to the Supreme Court? You bring laws in Parliament even against the orders of the Supreme Court, why did you not bring it here? A law can be made in Parliament to snatch away the powers of the Delhi government, but a law cannot be made for the hut of a poor man? Why were they not given houses at the same place before demolishing their slums? Why has the Chief Minister not gone to meet these people yet? Surabh Bharadwaj

  1. We take the slum demolition issue from Street to Parliament. Kejriwal ji had already warned that if the BJP came to power, it would demolish the slums, and now that is what has happened. BJP wants to give the land of the slums to its business friends. But we will not let this happen...— Sanjay Singh

  2. AAP will fight for the rights of slum dwellers from the streets to the parliament.During the elections, the BJP had given the guarantee of 'where there is a slum, there will be a house' but as soon as they came to power, they bulldozed the slums and made the poor homeless. Recently, the dictatorial BJP government ruined hundreds of families by bulldozing the slums of Madrasi Camp.Today, AAP MP @SanjayAzadSln ji and Delhi AAP Convenor @Saurabh_MLAgk ji and other party leaders met the families living in those slums and shared their pain and assured them of strong support in this fight and to take the fight to its conclusion.

NEWS THAT MATTERS :

  1. Some serious uncomfortable facts that the ECI keeps choking on: 1) What explains the sudden spike of 41 lakh new voters in just five months when it took five years to add 31 lakh? What kind of data machinery pulls off that miracle, Excel or electoral engineering? 2) How does the turnout shoot up by nearly 8 percentage points after voting hours ended? What was happening at the booths after 5 PM that added nearly 76 lakh extra votes overnight? 3) Where is the video evidence of polling post 5 PM? Isn't that footage mandatory? Or was the CCTV there just for decoration? 4) Why are the final electoral rolls, in a digital, open, and machine-readable format, still being kept out of public reach? What is the ECI trying to shield—voter data or vote manipulation? 5) And why did 12,000 booths across 85 seats magically register turnout spikes, conveniently in places where the BJP had flopped during the Lok Sabha polls but managed to "win" in the Assembly election?

  3. The poor health system of Uttar Pradesh under the Yogi government is taking the lives of newborns.
Many newborn babies have lost their lives in the District Women's Hospital in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh. The district level hospital does not even have a ventilator. This is the reality of the development that Yogi ji and BJP boast about.
The CMS of the hospital himself is saying that he has asked for a ventilator several times but the government is not able to provide even one ventilator.

  1. No census has been conducted since 2011. World Bank's estimates for India rely on the official HCES, with the latest reports using data from the 2022-23 survey, significant as India hadn’t released consumption survey data for over a decade. Govt has stated it is distributing ration to 80 Crores population.
Please note : HCES - Household Consumption Expenditure Survey (a sample survey done by the Government of India)
What did the World Bank report & how? The latest World Bank figures (to mid‑2025) show India’s extreme poverty (earning under $2.15/day PPP) fell dramatically—from approx. 27% in 2011–12 (about 344 million people) to just 5.3% in 2022–23 (75 million) That implies around 269 million people were lifted out of extreme poverty during this period
But how can poverty estimates be accurate without a census since 2011? It’s true: India hasn't conducted a full Household Consumption & Expenditure Survey (HCES) since 2011–12. The 2017–18 survey was discarded due to quality concerns.
To bridge this data gap, the World Bank used: CMIE’s CPHS (Consumer Pyramids Household Survey) data to estimate consumption trends after 2011–12.
For 2022–23, they incorporated more detailed NSSO/HCCES microdata, which was released recently and seen as more reliable.
The Indian government also refined consumption data collection methods—such as improving recall periods—to better match actual spending Should these figures be trusted? Strengths: The World Bank used multiple sources (CMIE, refreshed NSSO surveys, updated recall methods), and the estimated decline persisted even after raising the global poverty threshold.
Limitations: Without a fresh, official consumption survey since 2011, some degree of estimation remains—especially in low-income, rural regions. That said, both international bodies (World Bank) and India’s own analysts see the trend as real, albeit subject to revisions.
