  5. The Aam Aadmi Party has always worked to improve the education system, whether in Delhi or Punjab. Even in states where we do not have a government, it will raise its voice strongly against the anti-education policies of BJP and Congress. The Aam Aadmi Party will reach every district, every village's government schools and bring their condition before the country.

  6. When this is the condition of Connaught Place, the heart of Delhi, it’s not hard to imagine the state of the rest of Delhi. Just 10 minutes of rain and the roads have turned into ponds. In 5 months, where has the BJP brought Delhi to? Is this the speed of the ‘4-engine’ government? Arvind Kejriwal

  7. Delhi Police Sub-Inspector Neetu Bisht posted at Paschim Vihar Police Station in West Delhi was arrested by a Vigilance team while collecting protection money of Rs. 20 lakhs from a businessman. It was alleged that Head Constable Vishal Chhillar and Constable Pramod kidnapped the businessman Doctor Neeraj and threatened to frame him in a false case and demanded 50 lakhs to release him. Later the deal was fixed at 40 lakhs with the intervention of some Ajeet and Ajay Kashyap. Neeraj was released after he paid 20 lakhs. SI neetu Bisht was on leave and was coordinating the operation on phone. Role of SHO Radheshyam is also under scanner. Do we need to say more?

  1. I have requested the BJP to issue a notification declaring "Minto Bridge" a new "state" Then let them run the Government of Minto Bridge, let the rest of Delhi go to hell, just keep looking at Minto Bridge When you ask the minister or chief minister about waterlogging, they say - Minto Bridge Oh, they’ve drowned the entire Connaught Place, what should we do about Minto Bridge?

  2. U.P. Government School Closures and Mergers.

MP Sanjay Singh (AAP) spoke out about the Uttar Pradesh government's decision to shut down over 27,000 government schools, citing inadequate enrollment.

Many of these schools have been merged with neighboring institutions, leaving children from remote or marginalized communities with no accessible schooling.

Singh claims these closures were facilitated by deliberately creating conditions of poor infrastructure and staffing to justify shutdowns. Teacher Vacancy Crisis.

Nearly 193,000 primary-teacher positions and thousands in secondary and senior secondary levels remain unfilled in UP.

In Prayagraj alone, 633 government schools have been declared unsafe due to structural issues.

Singh alleges that poor government maintenance and teacher shortages were tactics to lower student enrollment.

School Bachao Abhiyan ("Save Schools Campaign")

On July 9, 2025, Singh launched the campaign in Jaunpur under the slogan: “Not Liquor Shops, We Need Schools.”

He criticized the state government for showing more urgency in opening liquor shops than maintaining schools. highlighting local communities’ lack of access.

Singh filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court (Diary No. 41583/2025) challenging the UP government's June decision to close 105 primary schools without legislative authority.

The argument is that these closures violate the RTE Act and constitutional guarantee under Article 21A, which mandates free and compulsory education within a 1 km radius of every habitation of 300+ people.

The petition asserts that the government bypassed required School Management Committees and failed to conduct public consultations.

Many Government Schools across India suffer from poor infrastructure, lack of toilets, water supply, libraries, and playgrounds. According to ASER data, only 68.7% had usable toilets, 74.1% had drinking water, and 75.5% had libraries by 2016.

National schemes like Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), RMSA, and Right to Education Act aimed to rectify these challenges but often failed in full implementation due to underfunding and administrative inefficiencies.

  4. State of Government Schools They highlight major issues facing India’s government school system: poor infrastructure, understaffing, lack of facilities like clean toilets, drinking water, adequate classrooms, and essential learning materials.
Impact on Students. The discussion stresses how these deficiencies lead to low enrollment and retention rates. Students, particularly in rural areas, face disruptions in learning and poor environment, pushing many to drop out or miss out on quality education altogether. Government Accountability. Panelists criticize both central and state governments for insufficient follow-through on school improvement programs. Promises under schemes such as the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan are said to remain largely unfulfilled. Role of Local Leadership. Manish Sisodia, former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, discusses interventions he implemented in Delhi schools—upgrading infrastructure, introducing play-based learning, and improving teacher training. They suggest that localized reforms can significantly impact outcomes when properly executed.Civil Society & Media Oversight Public scrutiny is emphasized as a critical catalyst for change. They call for stronger engagement from communities, NGOs, and media to ensure accountability and transparency in implementing school-related policies. Immediate Calls to Action The speakers urge: Increased public funding targeted at essential improvements. Improved teacher accountability and performance monitoring. Active local monitoring of school conditions and performance Reformed leadership at both state and district educational authorities. Takeaway The livestream paints a stark picture of the current condition of government schools in India—marked by neglect and systemic failures—but also points to successful reform models that exist, like in Delhi. The overall message is clear: systemic change requires committed local leadership, rigorous implementation, and ongoing public accountability. PUNJAB NEWS :

  1. As Punjab’s Education Minister, I’m deeply disappointed by today’s Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samelan 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi. Education Ministers from across India were invited—but the entire event turned into a one-sided monologue. No discussion at all. This should’ve been a platform to address: • Attacks on regional languages—like CBSE excluding Punjabi as a main subject (reversed only after Punjab’s strong protest) • NEP’s deeper agenda of eroding states’ rights • No national roadmap for AI, coding, data science in education • Most painful is no mention of recent Jhalawar, Rajasthan tragedy where innocent school children lost their lives, nor any dialogue on preventing such incidents Such events, without honest dialogue on education, remain ceremonial—not transformational.
Today, I attended the felicitation ceremony held at village Mehma Singh Wala in Ludhiana to mark the resumption of traditional games. I congratulated and wished all the Punjabis who love heritage games. These traditional games of mute animals raised as sons will be held across the state without any cruelty.

When they step out of their homes, they find potholes instead of roads, and garbage is visible everywhere. There is so much corruption everywhere that now even the ministers themselves are talking about corruption. We will become the voice of the people, and we are confident that the public will show their trust in the Aam Aadmi Party in 2027. -@AtishiAAP
