The Supreme Court recently took notice of manual sewer cleaning being carried out at the Court's own Gate F and sought a reply from the concerned officer of the Public Works Department regarding the continuation of the illegal and hazardous practice. In 2023, in Dr.Balram Singh v Union of India, the Court had issued a series of directions to stop the dangerous and inhuman practice of manual scavenging and manual sewer cleaning.There was waterlogging in Delhi yesterday, people died yesterday, and Pravesh Verma is out today looking for waterlogging on the streets. Pravesh Verma should visit the homes of those who died yesterday. He should visit the home of the child who died after drowning in an open sewer. @Saurabh_MLAgk
