When the roof of Piplodi’s government school in Jhalawar, Rajasthan, collapsed, children were left without a classroom.
That’s when Mor Singh stepped forward. A villager who never got an education himself, he offered his own house to become the school and moved his family of ten into a hut made of wood and tarpaulin in the open fields.
At first, his family wasn’t sure. But for the sake of the children, they agreed. Now, where his family once lived, children sit with books in hand, learning again.
