What is the worth of a Supreme Court judgment if subsequent benches, none less than the Chief Justice of India's bench itself flat out REFUSES to enforce its compliance.
The 2019 judgment of Justice A.K. Sikri clearly mandated that written criteria that is to be adopted for Central Information Commissioners selection be published BEFORE the process begins. The Centre is in contempt of this direction but Chief Justice Surya Kant says "have faith in the government, can they ever appoint ineligible persons to the post"!
