    The CM had ordered just five days ago that all drain pits should be fixed within three days. It was even published in the newspapers.
    Now the same story has started again.

    • Are not covered under Ayushman
    • Do not receive any pension

    • Face skyrocketing insurance premiums
    • And struggle silently

    At the age when they need support the most,
    they are being pushed into financial stress.

    Is this how we treat the generation that built this countr

    Why does it feel like policies are getting harsher for the elderly every year?

    A government is judged by how it treats its most vulnerable.

    Even as 84% of Indians surveyed said they tried to lose weight, only 4.7% managed to sustain even modest weight loss for 1 year, a new white paper published in in the journal Clinical Obesity found. More than 1-third did not speak to a healthcare professional about their weight in the past 5 years, and over 1-third never received a formal obesity diagnosis. The findings sit alongside stark national data: 254 million Indians are living with generalised obesity and 351 million with abdominal obesity. In 2019 alone, 5.79 lakh adult deaths were linked to overweight and obesity-related non-communicable diseases. The economic burden, estimated at Rs 2.5 trillion in 2019, is projected to rise to Rs 72 trillion by 2060.
